Some Current work
A little illustration montage about not being allowed to dance in night clubs in Japan. Apparently it is illegal to let people dance in your nightclub in japan without strict regulations and checks by police. This ones coming out soon more info about it later.
A Series of Author Portraits in Lino - Aldous Huxley
Aldous Huxley is probably my favourite of my portraits so far, as was his book Brave New World when I was about 15. After just reading 1984 and Clockwork Orange this was a great addition to my dystopian phase. The ending made me absolutely speechless, a very poignant book and relevant even though it was written for a different era. Planning on adding Angela Carter to the mix next, my favourite of all authors.
A Series of Author Portraits in Lino - Pablo Neruda
Sonnet XVII
I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way
than this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.

so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.
A Series of Author Portraits in Lino - Kurt Vonnegut
A start at looking at some of my favourite authors in Linocut. Here is Kurt Vonnegut author of Slaughterhouse 5, one of my favourite books in college. However, I'm not incredibly happy about how it came out, especially the hair. Le sigh, it was only to get me back in the swing of things anyway.
